Welcome to the St. Joseph/St. Robert School community! I am very proud and happy to say that I have been the principal of this wonderful school for five years. Being a part of the St. Joseph/St. Robert School community means being part of a warm and welcoming family.
St. Joseph/St. Robert School has much to offer our students and families. Religion classes, which focus on the teachings of the Catholic Church as well as Gospel Living, are a part of our everyday curriculum and life. It is our daily aim to make our Catholic Faith come alive. We do not want Religion to be just a class, rather a way of life. We strive to help each other grow in our relationship with Jesus Christ and to see Him in all those we meet each day.
St. Joseph/St. Robert’s academic program is rigorous and relevant! Our core subjects of ELA – reading, writing, speaking, listening, and language mechanics, Math – Standard and Honors, Science, and Social Studies, are all integrated with the tools of technology. Art, Music, Physical Education and Library help us provide a balanced approach to learning and growing.
One indicator of the success of our academic program is found in the results of our annual Terra Nova testing. Our students consistently perform at levels that exceed their anticipated scores!
St. Joseph/St. Robert School’s technology program is ever expanding. The use of technology tools and programs is a constant focus when teachers plan lessons and activities. Our goal is to help our students be collaborative, creative, and critical thinkers for life in the 21st Century. The students use Net books as a resource throughout the day. I pads are also available for use. Our Technology classes take place in the classrooms – a reminder that technology is a part of our everyday curriculum.
Our faculty and staff are faith-filled, dedicated, credentialed – and joy-filled! We have many life-long learners on our faculty. Our teachers regularly attend workshops and graduate level classes in order to remain current with trends in teaching and learning.
You are going to love being a part of this school community! Our community is one where the Light of Christ burns brightly – a community where we care about and look out for each other – a community that welcomes you.
I invite you to join us!
