Friday was an exciting day as our students, faculty, and families enjoyed our annual SJR Home and School Association Walkathon through our beautiful neighborhood. This event is one of our largest fundraisers of the year. The proceeds support nursing services at SJR and health initiatives like CPR and first aid training for our faculty and staff. We are still accepting donations thru 11/30. To donate, go to our link on the homepage of our website: www.stjstr.org. If you prefer, we also accept cash/check donations. We are truly grateful for your support. #WeAreSJR, #SJRproud,#archphilly, #AOPS_schools, Archdiocese of Philadelphia Schools - AOPS ... See MoreSee Less

The 5th-8th grade’s Veteran’s Day assembly was a special opportunity for our students to learn about and honor the service and sacrifices of our veterans. We were privileged to have Commander Carol Koper, Medical Service Corps Officer, United States Navy and 2LT Samantha O’Hara, Chemical Officer, United States Army share their vocation and the generations of their family that have served in the armed forces. May God keep all of our military safe. #WeAreSJR, #SJRproud, #archphilly, #AOPS_schools, @AOPS_schools. ... See MoreSee Less

On Friday, our SJR Patron Award recipients were recognized following Mass. Four students who exhibited in a special way the virtues of obedience and fidelity were announced. Congratulations to Hannah (8th), Drew (6th), Henry (4th), and Hazel (1st). We can live out the virtue of obedience in school by listening to and following rules or instruction. Fidelity is showing loyalty and being trustworthy to a good friend. #WeAreSJR, #SJRproud, #archphilly, #AOPS_schools, @aops_schools ... See MoreSee Less

On Saturday evening, our 7th and 8th grade students gathered together and enjoyed the horror of a haunted hayride at Windy Brook Farm. The spooky event included pizza prior to the hayride and concluded with s’mores under the stars. A spectacular night for all the students! #WeAreSJR, #SJRproud, #srchphilly, #AOPS_schools, @aops_schools ... See MoreSee Less
