St. Joseph/St. Robert School strives to ensure that all families that desire a Catholic education are not held back by their own financial resources.  St. Joseph/St. Robert families are blessed to have several opportunities available to them to make Catholic education affordable:

  1. Funding from BLOCS/EITC –  provides tuition assistance to qualified families from the generosity of businesses who contribute to the program and receive a state tax benefit from their donations.
  2. Sponsor a Student Program – tuition assistance is awarded from funds that parishioners and other individuals have donated to the school and/or church.
  3. Commitment to Catholic Education Grant – new families in our Early Childhood program  have opportunity to earn up to $2,500 in future tuition credits.
  4. Transfer Grants – new students that transfer from non-Catholic schools are eligible to receive up to $1,500 in tuition credits.

See below for further information on these financial assistance programs.

Business Leadership Organized for Catholic Schools (BLOCS) Tuition Scholarships

Applications for the BLOCS Scholarship for the 2019 – 2020 academic year are open.  It is recommended that you visit: and review the FAQ.  It is very important that every SJR family review and apply even if you are over the annual income.  Families can apply who have students enrolling in grades Pre-K through 12th.

Applications for tuition scholarships are completed through FACTS by visiting:  The application fee is $30.00 & all submissions are strictly confidential.

Applying for financial scholarship through FACTS has never been easier because this year you can use your 2017 tax return.   In fact, if you applied for aid for the 2018 – 2019 school year, you can reapply.without re-submitting your tax return, since FACTS already has your 2017 return on file.

New families applying for financial scholarship for the first time will need to complete the application and submit the necessary documentation to FACTS to be eligible for EITC scholarship.  Once you complete an online application, you will need to send the following information to FACTS to finalize the application process:

* Copies of your 2017 or 2018 Federal tax forms including all supporting tax schedules.

Sponsor a Student Tuition Assistance

Sponsor a Student is a scholarship program funded by generous donations from parishioners from St. Joseph and St Robert parishes, school families/relatives and alumni.  All school families are eligible to apply for a scholarship.  Families are asked to complete an application and contact their respective pastor to schedule a meeting.

The pastor will review the application along with a small group of advisers.  After meeting with the parents/guardians and considering the guidance provided by his advisers, the pastor will decide on the amount of financial support that can be offered.  All information on the application, as well as any discussions will be kept confidential.

Our pastors support the value of Catholic education and no family will be denied registration because of financial hardships.  Please contact your pastor and/or Dorothy Aschenbrenner, School Business Manager, at 215-343-5100 to discuss financial assistance.
