The rain isn’t stopping the Oktoberfest festivities. We are bringing the celebration indoors and moving the gun into the St. Robert Bellarmine Gym. Bring your family and friends tomorrow (Sunday, Sept. 27th), and enjoy great food, delicious baked goods, a craft fair, music, games, and so much more!

Today, several of our 8th grade students, Mrs. Durkin, Mrs. Plomchok, and members of St. Robert Bellarmine Parish participated in the 6th Annual PA March for life in Harrisburg.
It is the same message every year, which is life is precious, all human life deserves protection, and dignity. This includes the unborn and elderly because we are all human beings. This Catechetical Sunday, we come together as a parish and Church community to recognize and celebrate those who dedicate themselves to sharing and nurturing our Catholic faith.
At SJR, we are especially grateful for our wonderful faculty and staff, who make faith formation an important part of the experience of every student. Each day, our teachers guide and inspire our students—not only in the classroom, but in living out their faith through kindness, compassion, and service. We also honor parents and guardians as the true first catechists, sharing the Catholic faith with their families.
This year’s theme reminds us of Jesus’ call to bring hope and healing to those most in need. We are thankful for the many people who help our students understand that faith is not simply something we learn—it is something we live and share every day.

Thursday night was all about FAMILY, FUN, and ENERGY! We were thrilled to welcome Coach Ryan from Let’s Grow Sports, who joined us for Catholic Schools Week and led our basketball camp this summer. Our SJR families showed up in their spirit wear and brought the energy as we kicked off the school year together!
Coach Ryan reminded us of an important message: We each create our own energy, and our energy can shape how we feel. MOTION CREATES EMOTION! Moving our bodies can change our mindset, lift our spirits, and help us feel our best!
Coach Ryan’s challenge to us? Celebrate yourself everyday, keep moving, keep smiling, and create your energy! What a great way to start the school year with movement, positivity, and our SJR family together!
